Filling Up Goodwill Boxes Again

Cold morning and it will be cold all day. So, I am working on filing up some Goodwill boxes. I started going through clothes I haven't worn in years. Amazing how many I have that have not been worn. Many favorite outfits are going away, but someone out there will need them. I actually don't have this many boxes in the photo but I am working on it. May as well give them to someone who needs them rather than leaving them hanging in my closet. I always feel good when I donate. I enjoy helping others when I can.

I have seen denim quilts and they are very nice. They make a nice heavy quilt as you know. I donate when I can.

@CarolDM Yes perfectly good items barely used they want to give you 50 cents for it and grudge that too.I wish I could find someone who is a domestic abuse survivor and give it all to her. I know I would have loved to have those things when I was first out of that situation. I do not want to donate to those shelters as I have seen first hand the greedy staff filling their pockets and the clients getting nothing.

Nobody ever wants to pay anything at yard sales. Not worth it to me.

That's a good thing to do on a cold day. I donate my clothes once a year at the rummage giveaway with the church. What they don't give away goes to one of the thrift stores.

I decluttering and sorting things out for recycling or charity shops. With a bit of luck, I should be able to move around without hitting a pile of books or similar

I mostly donate clothes in the Philippines and send them there through ship. It is a good feeling to help.

I enjoy donating things as well. I just filled up a big garbage bag of items to donate and put it in the back of my van for when I get near a thrift shop in the future.

It's a great feeling to clean out a wardrobe and cupboard and get rid of things you don't need.

My closet needs to be cleaned out too. I have the first box of miscellaneous for 2020 sitting in the hallway getting filled up. I am still downsizing as much as I can.
