Keoni Ching who is a second grade student at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School in Vancouver Washington is doing his part to pay off the school lunch debts of students in his school district by making custom keychains with the help of his mother. Keoni through his skills of salesmanship was able to raise his goal of raising over $3,000 during his school's Kindness Week project for selling the custom keychains at the price of $5 dollars each. Keoni intends to raise more money from his custom keychains to reach the goal of getting $6,000 dollars where the money will be used to pay off the school debts of students that cannot afford to pay off the school debts for the near future of his school. What made his kind deed great was that the Major League Soccer franchise the Portland Timbers sent Keoni a care package thanking him for being so generous to his fellow students who were a hard time paying off their school lunch debts.

With an endorsement like he got from the soccer franchise, he will be able to raise that money sooner. That's an awesome thing for a second grader to do. He has a very kind heart.

I agree with you since Keoni admits that he was inspired by the actions of pro football player Richard Sherman who donated money to schools in the Santa Clara area last year.

It is nice to hear of children learning generosity at a young age. Much more when it requires effort to give to others.

@Deepizzaguy that is good if it will be the norm for the children instead of wasting their time on video games.
