The best thing about being yourself is that how you run your life is right for you. It may not be everyone's choice of how to live but it is first and foremost your choice.
My belief is that you need to be true to yourself and do what is best for you. When I saw this image on lovethispic I knew it was a good one to use here.
As I read and connect here on MyLot I notice that many of use are individuals doing the best we can to live the life we need. I salute all of the people who are doing their own thing. Keep it up.

I am enough of a handful running my own life, so I try not to worry about how someone else is doing things.

That's definitely good advice. We all want to be so judgmental, thinking everyone else should live their lives just like we live ours. But nobody know us better than ourselves, so only we can figure out what's best for us. Sure, there needs to be some guidance along the way (school, church, governmental laws, etc.), but for the most part we just stumble through life trying to figure it out!
