Having another harvest

In a previous, I said that we were leaving for home this Saturday but when I checked out our plane tickets, I found out that we're leaving on Friday evening. It's my older daughter's birthday today and a friend of hers (with husband and son) asked to drop by late afternoon yesterday so I made a harvest of the veggies in the garden as my daughters may not have the time to harvest when I'm away. I harvested all of the Chinese chives, a ripe tomato (there are still many but are still green), a capsicum, the rockets (3rd harvest) and the parsley (there are still many left in the garden. My wife used the Chinese chives to cook with sliced tofu and ground pork for dinner and my daughter's visitors liked it. I hope my daughter or son-in-law will have some time to water the plants in the garden after I leave. It's my older daughter's first day at work though after being stranded in Manila for 3 days because of the Taal Volcano eruption. Prior to that, she was also stranded overnight at the Mactan International Airport for the same reason.

Yes, I started packing and my check-in luggage is already full so I’m leaving many of my things behind to give way to pasalubongs for relatives and some close friends and neighbors. My younger daughter told me to use her bigger luggage because, we’ll be back in March for another 4 months. I hope the one month we’re going home would be enough for the many things I have to attend to.

Yes, I'm okay here, thanks. We would have gone home on June 25 but our carrier cancelled their flights in NZ until now. Our visa expired Sept. 12 but, thankfully, we were given automatic extension while our application for a new visa is still unacted.

Glad you double checked your flights!! Or else you’d miss your flights and it’d be more cost to get new tickets. Love all you harvest so fresh ! I hope someone waters the garden and keeps up with the garden

Yes, good thing I took a look at our ticket because asked what time was our flight. I’m hoping too that they will have some time to water the plants even if not daily.

Sorry for all those delays. From those delays now perfect stay at home. I hope your children are doing fine in Auckland especially your apo kiddo. He might learn to walk or can walk now. You surely miss your apo.

The little biy is now learning to walk and he’ll be a year old next month. Unfortunately, we cannot have a party for him because of the lockdown. My wife has brought many decors for the planned party and she also bought some toys for the loot bags. I was amused because she also brought a tarpaulin banner she ordered before we flew to NZ.

Maybe you should talk to your daughter -in - law if they are going to take care of your garden or not anymore. At least, you won't keep thinking if they are taking care of it or not.

I’m still in the Philippines and will be back in New Zealand next month. We still had a great time celebrating my daughter’s birthday because she arrived a few days before the date.
