Of course I was traveling all of the last week on business, using the company truck. I got in a bit later on Friday and kept the company truck until Saturday. Went to get MY truck, and lo and behold...
It would not start. The battery was dead.
So I got out the jumper cables and gave myself a jump. Fired right up, and got it home (since the wife did not trust it and did not want to get stranded) as we had some other errands to run. We switched our plan to use her car.
Got done with the errands and the truck DID start when I checked it. But it was a slow start.
This morning the wife went out to do a check before she left for her weekend cleaning job and the truck did not start. Dagnabbit! The battery would need to be replaced, plain and simple.
So, we went over to AutoZone and got a new battery and had them install it. All is well and the truck is fine, but it cost us $160. Oh well. Gotta be able to get to work, you know.

That sucks but at least now it is taken care of and you don’t have to worry about being stranded somewhere

That is a shame, but at least you had the option for another car. My poor little old grandma had to walk up a mile to the auto parts store to get a battery for her car. Thankfully my mom was with her, but still that was not a fun time.

I had to get a battery a few months ago. Luckily I was able to get one for one hundred though. I could have gotten a better battery, but not sure how long I will keep this vehicle.
