Lunch With Mississippi State Fans

Oh yeah, this wasn't planned today, it just happened. We were out running errands today with the hubby. I had told him about the Sporting Goods store going out of business on Saturday and all stock was being sold at cost. So of course, he had to get there today to see what was left. If ended up that the store was closed on Monday. I thought they may be, and even mentioned that they may be closed for Martin Luther King Day. He didn't care, he was along for the ride! We checked out some property for sale over that way which wasn't that impressive in person. It has a small house on it which is big enough for the two of us but the main concern was the house being so close to the road. The land was also in a dip or valley so that pretty much turned us both off after having a house flood in Louisiana. After that we headed to the local Golden Coral for lunch. As we entered, a group of Mississippi State people were just going to the buffet to fix plates. We sat down and a few minutes later they sat just two tables away. The people behind us were also LSU fans. Since they all had Mississippi State shirts on and I had my LSU shirt on, we did exchange a bit of conversation. The lady behind me quipped, "How about those Tigers?" The MS State people all said, "Gotta hand it to them. They had a great team." I said, "Geaux Tigers!" My husband told me to behave. LOL! All in all it was a fun lunch. I think this was actually a couple of coaches traveling that had stopped for lunch. Gotta hand it to the folks in the SEC. They love their teams!
