Liverpool resident Ste Burke is one amazing young man who used the power of social media to inquire who the owner of a bicycle that was stolen by some crooks in a home of a man who used his life savings which is around 1300 British pounds which was his prized bicycle. Burke was coming home from work when three males approached him to buy the stolen bicycle for 100 British pounds. Now technically what Burke did had he kept the bicycle would committing a crime of buying a stolen bicycle. Burke did buy the bicycle from the three males. The catch was that he knew that the bike was stolen since the lock was on the back wheel. Since Burke did not want to be called on the crime of being a fence, he went to social media to ask if the bicycle he bought from the three males for 100 British pounds to ask if anyone knows who owns the bicycle, please contact him. Burke received a reply from a female who knows the owner of the bike personally. Burke was able to return the stolen bicycle to the owner of the bicycle who overcome with tears of joy that Burke is a honest man who returned his bicycle to him. The owner of the bicycle that was stolen had his home burglarized one week ago with his bicycle being stolen in the robbery. Burke insists that he did not use social media to return a stolen bicycle to gain super hero status, he returned the bicycle to the owner who had his bicycle stolen since it was the right to do since Burke realizes if the show was on the other foot, he would feel sad that someone stole his bicycle and he would hope that someone would do what he did. To make this story even sweeter, A British bicycle company wants to offer Burke a free bicycle as his reward for being honest. The three crooks have not been caught yet by the authorities.

Burke did the right deal since I am not sure of criminal law but anyone who buys stolen goods is called a fence.

I'm glad that Burke will be getting a free bicycle for his honesty since he paid 100 pounds for the other bike.

This is good news. The man has done the smartest thing he could do. I appreciate his deed very much especially being able to spent money out of his pocket just to return the bike to its rightful owners. I hope every body encounters similar incidents do the same. Now he deserves more than the reward given to him. To the burglars, you're time will come anytime soon for you to pay your crimes.

Criminals will get their punishment down the line. It was nice of Burke to find who stole the bike.
