January 24 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening. It's been a good day despite the fact I didn't go to the Y today. Not much happened, but there is always something to be thankful for.
I'm thankful Eric from maintenance showed up as soon as I got back to the apartment this morning and took care of the chirping smoke alarm. It wasn't the battery but the carbon monoxide sensor that was bad. He needed to replace the entire alarm. The new one is better. It only shouts 'Fire' once instead of three times. It's also quieter. The voice on it isn't as loud. We'll see how high I jump the first time this one goes off.
I'm thankful I got the notifications finished early in the afternoon. It was a busy day here and I didn't think I would finish.
I'm thankful for the steps I got in while watching a movie. I tried to find one mentioned here, but it isn't on Netflix here yet. Hopefully soon. I did see a true story though that had me pulling tissues from the box before the end. I should probably review this one.
I'm thankful for the chapter I just finished editing on Legacy. It's coming along well. I'm getting into the middle of the story where it heats up before the end. As if it hasn't been heated enough to this point.
I'm thankful the rain we had most of the day has turned back to snow. When I looked at the forecast, it's showing snow for Sunday now too.
That's it for today. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. I know a lot of you are ready for gardening and want to see an end to the snow. The image is from the Botanical Gardens a couple of years ago.

I thought they were required for all homes. I'd buy one anyway.
I'm glad you have the strength to do what needs doing. Not only physical strength but mental strength too.

That shed in the photo would be a great place to hole up alone and get away from the world. I am thankful that I could order groceries online and that my day was quiet and I got quite a bit of work done. I hope you have a good night and a sunny Saturday

It does look like a great place to be alone away from the world.
That's great you could order your groceries online and had a quiet day to get your work done.
I did have a good night's sleep and well, no sun today. We've got snow, but I like snow.
