Paused my Misfits Market subscription

I've written about many of my Misfits Market shipments over the past year. It is a delivery of organic fruit and vegetables that are occasionally not perfect--too small, too big, bruised, etc. Usually everything is totally fine. Anyway I get the smaller box because it was just the parrot and me. Most of the fruit went to the bird as well as a lot of the carrots, the grape tomatoes, etc. Unfortunately my parrot passed away last weekend. My fridge still contains lots of apples, pears, and oranges as well as carrots, zucchini, and squash. If I'm not sharing it with the parrot, then it will take me longer than the next week to eat it all. There's no point in paying for food that I won't be able to eat and that I don't need. There is no way to skip just one bi-weekly shipment so I had to pause it for a month. That is fine with me. I'll be able to use everything I already have up. If I need anything in the meantime, I'll just pick it up at the grocery store.

Wise move. No sense paying for food you can't consume.
