Hello everyone. I'm still in awe about this whole doppelganger thing. I mean the thought of someone out there that looks exactly like you is creepy. But I wonder if it's just a clone? I know there are parallel worlds and also we all have a choice to choose a timeline we want to travel on. I also heard there could be actually several different versions of ourselves. Growing up o did always hear everyone has a twin. What are your thoughts? Why is there another us? What does this all mean?

Once I was in a coffee bar and mentioned to the barista that I hadn't been there for some time. He looked at me in a puzzled way and said, "But you were here only last week!" From this I learnt that I must have a doppelgänger. I'm not into esotericism and don't believe in parallel worlds and several different versions of myself or a twin, etc. etc. It's all coincidence.
Of course, if you want to believe all that, you're welcome. There are worse erroneous beliefs.

I remember I was waiting for the ferry once. I looked at someone in the distance. The female's face was turned sideways and it freaked me out when I saw it because I could've sworn I was looking at myself.

I don't know, but in our country, when people see a doppelganger, (let's just say the real you went somewhere, and then your friend/family, knowing that you went somewhere, have recently seen you in their house or in the neighborhood) it is a sign of a bad omen.

Interesting subject. The idea of a doppelganger is not really new. In fact, people in the entertainment industry uses this similar physical attributes for a living. say for example, impersonators or stunt doubles that are hired to portray a certain celebrity. Yes, doppelganger could be possible with the help of cosmetic enhancements and or surgery But will it satisfy someone's needs and wants? As for the Spiritual aspect of it, There are many beliefs on the subject but this only varies to which religion or faith you believe in. Some religion believes in past lives and some believes in one soul... so this really varies to what you believe in.
