Thursday - Rock Painting

I've mentioned I've been working on a project for several weeks now while I painted rocks for Christmas presents. The above rock is what I've been working on. It took a lot of work and a lot of patience. I repainted faces several times until I was satisfied with them. My favorite feature on this rock is the donkey. It's my favorite and everyone who sees this rock loves the donkey.
This is my Christmas present to myself. When I saw this rock, it looked like a manger. Finding time to paint it became a factor. I finished it this morning. I showed it to the people in the office and they loved it.
It's now standing, something I didn't know it could do, by my tree. Yes, it's still up. I'll take the tree down at the end of the month. I'll keep the rock on that corner table that used to be an entertainment center.
I started five more rocks this morning when I finished that one. I'll finish those next week.
I also went to the pool and spent time in the fitness center. By the time I walked into the ADRC I had all my steps for the day. I'll be upping my goal next week since I'm getting 5000 steps with relative ease, at least when I make it to the Y in the morning.

You got a lot done today. Enjoy your day at the pool. My day is as usual, mylotting at the library. No shopping till next week. Got my PERS though, but installation is not till maybe middle of Feb. Good, I got questions about my personal emergency response system.

Yes, people paint them and hide them. There's usually a sticker on the back with a website to let the person or group know you found it. So far, I haven't hidden any of mine. I've given them for Christmas presents and birthdays. Plus I have a collection of the ones I've kept. I'm not giving this one away.

@celticeagle You can probably get it cheaper at Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or just about anywhere. I even saw it at Dollar Tree.

Yes, I'm doing another Fruit of the Spirit series. I gave the first set I made to my granddaughter for Christmas. My grandson was supposed to send the box. I hope he did. All the Christmas presents for the girls were in there with the rocks.

I don't have an account on Pinterest. I wouldn't get any work done if I had accounts everywhere. I have FB, Twitter - rarely there, and here.
