Snapped a photo from behind the patio doors and blinds. These three blue jays were enjoying the peanuts. I have seen as many as seven lately. But a few fly when I get the camera ready to snap.
I enjoy these birds. The woodpeckers, doves, cardinals and many more. I am giving them less each day as I will take this feeder down right before spring.
Was behind the patio doors again taking this photo.
I want to give the bluebirds a chance to come back and raise a family or two. They didn't make it last year but maybe this year will be different.

That would have been a neat picture. Sadly, I rarely seem to see bluejays around here.

@CarolDM If I tried that, I would have to have a squirrel proof feeder, cuz I guarantee the squirrels would get them. I guess you are lucky the squirrels are at bay there.

Great photo. The birds have been lucky this year...it's been a temperate winter.

You only feed them in y the winter months? Why? Do they fly north in the warmer months like robins do here? Recently, I heard of some people that only feed the birds in the winter months but that was the first I've heard about that.

They can find food the rest of the year. Insects, etc. No they do not migrate. And I raise bluebirds in my yard, they do not get along. Last year the robins (they do not migrate here) ran off the bluebirds. First time in about 10 years or so I had no bluebirds. However I have plenty of trees most of the birds I see will return in the spring to raise families. Babies!

Good take. I love bird watching. Every day as I do my early morning walk routine at the public plaza I always see Maya on the tree. They're playing and even alighting right in front of me while I am walking then they fly as I come near to them.
