Greeting Cards

I used to buy all my greeting cards from Hallmark's but they have been so expensive in the last few years that I switch to the $1.00 card. I find nothing wrong with that but some people are offended to receive such a card. How do you feel about this?

I appreciate any card as long as it is beautiful. It doesn´t bother me if it is not from Hallmark.

I do not care how much is the card, the thoughts and effort nowadays in sending card is much better than sending e-greeting card

I buy all my cards from the Current catalog. They are even less. I am not offended by any card that I receive. It means that someone thought of me.

I will sometimes go to the dollar store for cards also, maybe that is why Carleton Cards is closing.

Its the thought not the cost. If they dont care that you took the time to pick out a card then they have some things to learn.

I certainly wouldn't be offended with simply a hand-written note. I buy $1 cards too but I do try to find nice ones as I'm sure you do.

It's supposed to be the sentiment that counts not the price tag or brand name.

I have avoided Hallmark cards for a long time now. They are so so so expensive. Yet I notice some of our acquaintances always stick to those cards, especially if they collect the money from groups (work, or school etc) to celebrate or thank or goodbye etc someone else. A card is a card to me, if the pic is good, then that is perfect to me. (I don't often have the time to read the back of the card, to see where it comes from .)
