The Day the Music Died - On February 3, 1959 Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper were among those killed in a small plane crash. "The day the music died" is a line from Don McLean's "American Pie" and alludes to the death of Holly, Valens and the Big Bopper.

Morgan Freeman's fair child????
(I think I need new bifocals!)
I always remember today for the phenomenal loss of talent we suffered. Thanks to Don McLean we have a name for it.

Morgan would be surprised what his "daughter's" real name is: Patsy Ann McClenny of Dallas.

I loved Ritchie Valens music, 'Oh Donna' was my favorite. Buddy Holly, I liked his music too, but I was only 8 years old, at that time. I had an older sister, that played their music constantly.
