Collen Jackson who is the owner of Jackson's Variety store which Is located in Fairhaven is very thankful that two bystanders who just happened to be in her area this morning stopped by to play the role of heroes by risking their lives to go upstairs in the two story building where Colleen's 83 year grandfather and his niece were trapped in the fire inside their home and business.
Butch Beauparland and Ron Rock decided to attempt to rescue both parties in the second floor of the building before the local firefighters arrived to put out the fire.
Colleen was able to alert her relatives that the building was on fire which made it easier for Ron and Butch to get grandpa and his niece out of harm's way by getting them down the stairs and outside of the burning building to safety.
Colleen believes that even had the firefighters arrived to put out the fire, she doubts that her grandfather and his niece would be alive today had the Good Samaritans not arrived to save them first.
Both the grandfather and his niece are in a local hospital being treated for burns and smoke inhalation.
Both the grandfather and his niece are excepted to survive the fire inside of their building which is currently being investigated by the authorities.
Food for thought is that Good Samaritans may have been angels in disguise.

If that in the picture is the fire in the story, oh gee, I couldn't think of a way to rescue those inside.

The image of the fire is where the fire took place. The firefighters have warned people not to be heroes and attempt a rescue in a burning building since it is too risky for anyone to survive a huge fire.

@Deepizzaguy that is a good step that the firefighters did by warning the people. That has lessened the risk of more injured or casualties.

@Alexandoy You are correct since firefighters have many hours of practice in executing rescues of people inside of a building on fire.

They could have just gone on their merry way when the fire broke out and not rescue the dad and his niece.
