Today is National Bubble Gum Day

Did you chew a lot of bubble gum when you were young? I did on occasion. Did you have a favorite? I always enjoyed Bazooka. It had a comic folded in the paper. There were other types such as Big League Chew, Bubblicious, Bubble Yum, Fruit Stripe and Dubble Bubble. Which did you like?

I used to live the Big League Chew. I also loved the suckers that had bubble gum in the middle. I was at Home Goods today and saw a bubble gum kit. Children could make their own different flavors, and I would have been thrilled to have it as a child.

Bazooka was my favorite, too, for the same reason you said. I think the only other choice when I was a kid was Dubble Bubble.

I don't chew gum now, but boy I had my share of gum for sure as a kid (I had a purse in which I would actually "collect" various gums). I used to love those mini Chicklets (is that what they were called - those teeny square-ish colored ones). I loved the JuicyFruit too. Bubblicious was good too!!
