A happy dad and son reunion story from Washington state

My respects to go David Neer who is the father of nine year old Daniel Neer who is his son who had the bad luck of going to visit China to visit his grandparents to celebrate the Chinese New Year with his mother. To put it mildly, the visit to see his grandparents was marred by the outbreak of the Coronavirus which had Daniel to be quarantined to his room during his two week visit in China. To add insult to injury, when Daniel was scheduled to take a flight from China to SeaTac airport, his flight was cancelled at the last minute due to outbreak of the virus. Knowing that the next flight from China to the U S would have taken place around April, David was able to find a flight that would leave China to Taiwan and then come home to Seattle to have his son come home. Daniel came home to Seattle safe and sound. The reunion of seeing his dad at the airport was such a happy sight for David to see his son come back safe and sound. The catch is that Daniel will have to miss two weeks of school since he will have to be in quarantine for two weeks in his dad's home as a form of caution not to spread the virus to his classmates. The whereabouts of his mother are not clear at this time though. I believe the former wife of David is safe and sound though.
