He is a retired competitive swimmer and 9-time Olympic champion. He won 7 gold medals at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Between 1968-1972 Spitz won 9 Olympic gold medals, 1 silver and 1 bronze, 5 Pan American gold medals, 31 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) titles and 8 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) titles. 1967 - Laura Dern was born. She is an American actress, director and film producer. She gained international recognition for her role in Jurassic Park.
