Update on Baby J

So some of you remember me talking to you some weeks ago that my sister and brother-in-law are fostering two babies; I posted a picture of Baby Dee (while I can post a picture, I cannot say their names), but Baby J was the other baby. Baby J was premature, so while Dee and J are the same age (5 or 6 months), Baby J is smaller (Baby J's bio mom was on drugs, thus she was premature). You may remember Baby J's availability for them to adopt hinged on whether Baby J being Native American, which the bio mom claimed the dad was. The test results came back on the dad, and she IS his daughter so Baby J is part Cherokee. This means Baby J has to be adopted into a Cherokee family (per law). In the coming months, Cherokee officials will be searching for a Cherokee family to foster to adopt. The dad doesn't want her, and neither do any relatives. My sister and brother-in-law aren't extremely upset (assuming she goes to a good home). They've got 8 year old Amyra, four year old special needs Hudson, and two 6 month old babies. Life will get easier with just one baby. Plus, they always knew this was a possibility. I'll talk about Baby Dee in a different post.

Yes, Amyra and Hudson are adopted, and it looks like Baby Dee will probably be adopted too by my sister and brother-in-law.

Those babies are so lucky to be a part of your family for the time that they are-you are a very loving family.

@AmbiePam baffles me that people can walk away from them. For any reason.

I hope the baby in question really does find a good loving home.
