So last week we had a class trip with my course mates here in campus. We went to Kisumu city, Kenya. After finishing all the class objectives, we were taken to Dunga Beach of Lake Victoria. It was awesome to have visited this place after hearing alot about it. So it was here that I experienced my first boat riding. I have always been scared of trying it, after all the news about people drowning after a boat capsizes. It was even more scary that day as it was in the evening and the waves were starting to surge. The people in charge of the boats assured us that it was safe and so I decided to take the risk. I was on the same boat with fourteen of my classmates. At first, I felt like screaming and jumping out of the boat. However, as the boat started gaining momentum, I felt safe. It was an awesome experience and I am looking forward to go for more boat riding. Have you ever experienced boat riding? How was your first time? The photo above was taken by my phone camera while we were in the boat.

Sounds like a great adventure. We had a small boat when I was little, and the boat trips were the best part of my vacations. Sometimes I was feeling scared also with the waves. Do you know swimming?

Nope, I don't know swimming. That is why I was so scared of the boat capsizing. I would drown.

My first experience with the boat in sea was with the naval rowing boat. I was in N.C.C. (National Cadet Core), naval wing then. It was a very good experience but not so scary as you say. I often go in small motorised boat in the sea for sight seeing. It is very common at our place here.

Nice, glad you had fun. First time I went on a boat was to go whale watching and I ended up getting sea sick. Years later we rented a canoe and paddled it in the open sea.Caught a baby sting ray or a smaller version of a sting ray. Let it go because knew better to play with that deadly thing. Was so funny because I did not get sick.I did not take pills or anything. Maybe has to do with size of boat or something.

This would have been a lot of fun. I think many people would be a bit apprehensive if they hadn't been in a boat before.
