He was an American singer, songwriter, producer, actor and politician. He was best known for the singing duo Sonny & Cher. Two big hits: "The Beat Goes On" and "I Got You, Babe". He was killed in a skiing accident on January 5, 1998. 1954 - John McEnroe was born. He is an American tennis player known for his confrontational court behavior which got him into trouble with the judges more than once.
