My niece might be very occupied with other household chores that she forgot to press the cook button of the rice cooker after plugging. She found out only later when it's about to eat that the rice was not cooked. We waited another minutes before we could start our meals.

That sometimes happen to us when our maid is preoccupied with her phone. That is one hazard of having a wifi at home, waheehee.

Disconnect or off the wi-fi during cooking hours. That would be dangerous if the maid forgets the stove.

Oh no it happens to us as well. My wife just placed the rice in it then plugs and leave the rice cooker. When she started calling us for dinner she realises that the rice is not yet cooked and we also have to wait for several minutes before it is done. But the good thing is the rice is hot and nicely cooked

@ZedSmart I think after the rice has been in water the longest time I think they are really good to cook not that they are soaked well on water.

I smiled while reading this. I experienced this before. I forgot to press it too but after 10 minutes I realized some act was missing, so I checked the rice cooker. And yeah, I did not press that button.

So you have had the same experience. Glad you're able to realized in few minutes. It's frustrating when you already want to take your meals but the rice is not yet ready.
