This story that comes from Wolcott Indiana is wonderful that the music students who attend Tri-County Junior/Senior High School decided to assist their school teacher Jeremy Sterk who could afford to buy a hearing aid to cure his hearing problem that has plagued him since he was a child.
Thanks to one of Jeremy's students who is Zachary Gretencord who wanted to raise around $4,600 dollars so Jeremy could purchase a special hearing aid that his insurance company could not afford to pay was able to round up students in his school to ask the community to donate money and have a bake sale.
The program worked like a charm since through word of moth and the social media route, the students were able to raise $5,000 so their school teacher enough money to buy his hearing aid.
To put it mildly, Jeremy is a very happy music teacher who thanks to the love he received from his students, he was able to buy his hearing aid.

I guess the internet reports of teachers getting into fights with students is rare since the incidents are recorded by the students on their phones to be shown on social media.

@Deepizzaguy With those cameras in cellphones that people take everywhere, there is a culture of the gross. Those go viral, not the others.

It is refreshing to learn that students do care for their teachers despite what the media discusses on their talk shows that the relationship between a teacher and a student is marred by teachers getting into fights with a few students that are filmed to be seen on the internet.

@marguicha That is what bothers of these news hounds who use social media to show off bad things in classrooms.

I agree with you since these kinds of stories hardly make it to the news media.

I wrote a longer response then accidentally went elsewhere so it disappeared
Nice that students raised the money...not so nice they had a music teacher that couldn't hear properly in the first place.
Over here we have the NHS which I accept is far from perfect but I'd prefer our system to dealing with insurance companies.
