Self-care

Last week I met a woman at the salon, we were waiting for our treatment together and started talking. She had a milestone birthday the day before, she turned 60 and it was a shock for her so she decided to take better care of herself. Her first goal was to walk 1 hour per day for exercise and also she booked some treatments (she had a haircut and a facial scheduled for that day).
We didn't talk for long but I got the impression that she realized on her birthday, how important it is to keep her mind and body healthy and to look after herself more.
This woman reminded me the importance of self-care, that we need to schedule some time for us, exercise our body and mind, sleep well and give attention to our needs.

Our body is our castle, so we have to take care of it. I have to admit, I am not the best in this, neither. But I have done a lot for my mental care in the last years.
