The monsters under my bed!

Were there monsters under your bed when you were a child? There were several under mine! There was the one which would grab my ankles if I got up in the middle of the night. There was the one which made all those strange slobbering noises just as I was about to fall asleep. There was the one whose breathing I could definitely hear. There was the one which clicked its claws and woke me up. Fortunately, none of these monsters actually got me! Did your monsters ever get you?

@ScotMac I do not recall that I had a problem with monsters under my bed when I was a child. So, how did you get rid of the monsters?

It all seems so real when you're a kid. I don't actually ever remember being scared of monsters under the bed although I had a few nightmares as a child.

Never had a monster under my bed but thought in general there was monsters in my room or something bad and my dolls would protect me from all of the bad things in the room.
