I went to their office yesterday because Grandma hasn't been getting her pension for almost two months now. In here, the beneficiary needs to make an appearance once a year to have continued benefits. Unfortunately she appeared late last year. They explained to me that she'll get it next month instead which is sadly another wait for her. But it's better than nothing. It's really shame they're making a 92 year old woman come to office to prove she's still alive. But then it prevents others from getting the pension instead. Hope you are all doing well.

I think there are plenty that are abusing that one when the pensioner passed away and the children still claims for the benefits of the pensioner that passed away. It may be tough but that is really an assurance for the office that what they are paying are the rightful pensioners and not the children.

@Letranknight2015 I guess that is for the benefit and protection of those claiming a valid pension pay. I wonder if the pensioner cannot be physically there due to sickness or disability how can they show up phyiscally.

That's pretty tough but I guess they're trying to stop others scamming the system.

Hello @thelme55 Good thing they prioritize the senior and we usually hire a vehicle and driver to do it.

@Letranknight2015 What they do here now is to have an authorised person to go there for them but they have to go through a lot of security checks first of all and then its usually okay after. I wish they would do that there for her its a bit much to have to do that although the fraud here is high too like I said.

Yeah, but it's really really late @lovinangelsinstead21 for a 90+ year old.

@Letranknight2015 It's too bad you don't have a better system. Once we apply, we only need to notify them when we pass.

@Letranknight2015 I am sorry that this happened. It is very difficult when one needs the money and they do not come for some reason.

@Letranknight2015 I still think it makes no sense, what if the person is bedridden?

That sounds very unfair. At 92, she should not have to do anything.

Yeah but they have to be sure that she gets the money since she's the beneficiary @CarolDM
