A parasailing man is lucky to be have rescued by a bystander in Michigan

A Good Samaritan who happened to be near Ackley Lake in Paw Paw Michigan should be eligible to receive a special award from the city officials in Van Buren County for his effort to rescue a man who was parasailing on Friday evening when he fell down into the icy lake when the parasailing craft fell down from engine trouble from a distance of 100-200 feet. Even though Ackley Lake was covered in ice due to the cold weather, when the parasailing man fell into the lake, his fall broke the ice which knocked him out on impact. The Good Samaritan then without any hesitation on his part jumped into the lake in an attempt to rescue the parasailing man who had his head underwater for a period of 5-10 minutes when the rescuer pulled his head out of the water. When the Good Samaritan realized that any attempt to move the parasailing accident victim to shore was impossible, he call 911 to report the incident to the Van Buren County firefighters to come rescue the injured man. The Van Buren County firefighters came to Ackley Lake to rescue both the injured man and his rescuer. The injured parasailing man is in critical but serious condition as of Saturday morning. I am hoping and praying that the injured parasailing man is able to make a speedy recovery from his accident that is under investigation by the authorities. Maybe the bystander could have been an angel sent by God to show His love for all mankind.
