Ordering dinner

It's 7:45 PM and still the water supply has not resumed. My daughter bought few bottles of drinking water from nearby store. We were running out of it. Now we have two buckets of stored water in bathroom for washing hands and other work. I can still hear the sound of drill from down the building. Guess! The water meter fixing is not yet over and might take time. And it would be too late for me to wait for water to cook dinner. I better go ahead with ordering my food. We ordered our snacks in evening and now it's dinner. I am not really fond of too much of outside food. But have no choice. What's everyone having for their meal??

You can't do much without water, it's good that you have saved some for the basic needs. I cook with bottled water because here tap water is not drinkable. Maybe you can try the same, home made dinner is much better than ordering for delivery.

I bought only few litres good enough for drinking. And cooking involves washing, cleaning kitchen etc and we need water for that too. We just ordered the food and ate in a biodegradable leaf plate

So bad staying without water. Are you changing your connection or they are fixing new type of meter?

@arunima25 That is better I suppose. You will pay only for the water you use.

@msdivkar Yes. I am sure our country people value something only when they pay for it.

Our supply to bathrooms resumed by 7 in evening but we got it in kitchen sink only after 11 PM. We were out of drinking water by evening and had to buy some.

There’s also some repair being done to the water pipes where I live but we still have water because we live in an apartment with individual water tanks for each apartment block. I don’t know how long the water will last in the tank. The repair has been estimated to go on until Monday which means that maybe we won’t have water this weekend. Looks like we too need to buy water from outside. Sigh!
