My sister came for a lovely short visit. / myLot

I was about to have a mylot break with coffee when my sister called me to ask me if she could come to see me for some minutes. My sister and her husband have been on the beach with their daughter and children who live in England. They came to visit for a week and I saw my niece yesterday before she went back. I don´t get to see them all much because my sister´s husband, an a$$hole, decided that he would have nothing to do with me anymore. Bur my sister is a very nice person. She has nothing to do with what my brother in law says, but I won´t go into her house while he is there. So we are for short visits. They are always too short for both of us. They live in the south and while they were waiting fo a taxi, my sister came to see me for a half an hour. It is a pity that some family members don´t understand what family ties are.

Family does not have to be friends. But there is another bond that should not be broken. Some people don´t understand that.

@amadeo The bond of love between siblings. They don´t have to judge. If they cannot live by the rules of a member of the family, they just have to accept that they are different.

@RebeccasFarm He never gave me a single reason. My sister told me once, many years ago, crying, that he did not want to see me again. He wasn´t enough of a man to say it so himself.

What a pity that you have only spent half an hour with your sister. When my sister visited me here in Germany, we usually have a lack of sleep because we talked until dawn.

Some don´t really get what family is all about.

When my sister told me crying about her husband´s wishes, I told her not to worry. I knew she loved me. I was not going to place her in an impossible situation. That was many years ago. Now I don´t want to see him.
