A movie of someone larger than life: I am Ali.

A documentary on the life of Muhammad Ali. (2014) I saw once part of this movie. When we turn on the TV, many times we don´t know what we will see. This movie shows(with personal audios and interviews) an interesting and very complete image of, to me, the biggest boxer of the XX century. Muhammad Ali went farther and beyond being a great boxing champion. He was a great man. He had flaws. Who doesn´t! But altogether, as I wrote in this title he was larger than life.

We never missed his fights by TV even if we had to stay up all night. But he was more than the boxer.

I don't agree with you about 'the biggest boxer of the XX century--that might seem like that to your generation but mine would be Joe Louis! I do think Ali was a very interesting smart man!

I don´t know enough about boxing as to argue with you. But I do know that it was Ali who made millions who would not have cared for boxing follow him. He might not have been the biggest boxer, but he was the greatest.

I have to disagree. I have seen actual TV interviews in which Ali was abusive to his wife and stating women are subservient, was a racist and a bully. These facts about him were not hidden at his own museum in Louisville.

I did not see that in the movie but it might have been that way. I don´t know. I would have to put all that in the historical and cultural perspective though.
