What is your spring weather like?

In Japan, we have a strong wind called "Haru Ichiban" that suddenly blows in the country and announces the arrival of spring. This year it happened nearly a month early. It usually is cold winter until now, but it's been feeling and smelling like spring. Even some blossoms are out.
When I first came to Japan, in 1981, people were still using kerosene to heat their homes. The first week of March, when it became a little warmer, they would all air out their homes and the air would smell like burned kerosene. So that is part of my consciousness that spring has come.
Small shopping areas also change their decorations from winter-type branches to spring-type with sakura blossoms.
The wind blows yellow dust from China. This year, people are worried that it will bring the virus too. The wind also blows up our fine volcanic black and brown dust, and sometimes it's hard to walk or ride a bike because it gets in your eyes, nose, and mouth.
But I will still be glad when spring is here, because we will have gentle rain and sunny days up to the time in June when the rainy season comes. We have lots of flowers and some early vegetables. Just a couple more weeks and it should feel Spring-like every day.

It's a good season but it is too windy for me. All the dust of various colors goes in my nose...

Actually winter is my favorite. I am more energetic when it's cold.
