So earlier was fun! We had the opportunity to bake something from scratch! It was a fun activity too for the family. Long story short, we steam baked these lovely rice cakes called "Puto" .
This is a staple Fiipino snack and the ingredients are locally produced mainly rice flour and some cheese for the toppings. This is eaten with a number of other dishes but moreso compliments with Dinuguan (a filipino pork stew).
What's your favorite local snack? And have you made one from scratch?

That sounds delicious. Can it be topped with something other than cheese?

Yeah, it really depends on the region where you reside in the Philippines because every region has their own take on it. Some even put some Mango pudding as filling on it. If you have a nearby Goldilocks fast food chain at your State you can buy some there too. Thanks for your response.

@StyleWithSense Mango pudding sounds delicious.
I think a local snack here would probably be something like moon pies. They are chocolate pies with cream filling.

@StyleWithSense I'll keep that in mind and will try it next time I'm near an Asian store. We don't have a Goldilocks nearby
