I never realized that 18 years just passed like yesterday and now my son will be attending his college very soon. Very recently we received an email informing us that our son was accepted in one of the prestigious schools in my place. We were invited to attend to a presentation of the course our son chose to take in that school.
Today we attended an open house introduction to our son’s preferred course subjects take in college. We were shown the course and what we are to expect from the school. And of course the expected tuition fees which we are to prepare in the coming 4 years. As a parent I guess we will do our best to send him to the best education he can get. I hope and pray he does what is expected of him.

@thelme55 state colleges and Universities here offer free college education. This was implemented during the time of Pres. Digong.

Congratulations to your son! My oldest just turned 15 . . . so it'll be just a few short years for her - but as you know there is much to do still at this point to prepare for the future. How did your son like open house? It's such an exciting time I'm sure. May he do well and have many successes!

College is the most important school in one's life, I suppose. One can learn a lot there, but also the place where you can go completely wrong. I wish your son all the best!

@rsa101 From what you described here, he will do fine. Especially if he will find a passion in it.
