I never realized that 18 years just passed like yesterday and now my son will be attending his college very soon. Very recently we received an email informing us that our son was accepted in one of the prestigious schools in my place. We were invited to attend to a presentation of the course our son chose to take in that school. Today we attended an open house introduction to our son’s preferred course subjects take in college. We were shown the course and what we are to expect from the school. And of course the expected tuition fees which we are to prepare in the coming 4 years. As a parent I guess we will do our best to send him to the best education he can get. I hope and pray he does what is expected of him.

I feel like one already just seeing the things we need to prepare soon. He prefers to enter in a private university so I guess you know how things are in there.

@rsa101 If it fits to the budget and not of so much burden, it's fine. That's one thing that won't be regretted to once he finish his course there knowing the training and discipline. What course he will be taking?

Time is really fast. College education is expensive there especially when going to a private school. I am glad that school here in Germany are mostly free.

Yes that’s true. Private schools are rather expensive in here but they give quality graduates too that is why their price is a bit exorbitant at times.

@thelme55 state colleges and Universities here offer free college education. This was implemented during the time of Pres. Digong.

Congratulations to your son! My oldest just turned 15 . . . so it'll be just a few short years for her - but as you know there is much to do still at this point to prepare for the future. How did your son like open house? It's such an exciting time I'm sure. May he do well and have many successes!

College is the most important school in one's life, I suppose. One can learn a lot there, but also the place where you can go completely wrong. I wish your son all the best!
