If there is one thing that bothers me is a person who breaks into a window of an SUV to steal a backpack that contained medicines that belonged to a young 21 month girl named Hailey Holder Allen who is battling alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. Hailey's mom who also shares her daughters first name and her husband were staying at a downtown Atlanta hotel on Tuesday since they came from Warner Robbins Georgia to meet with an oncologist early Wednesday morning. When the Hailey family were shocked to learn that a criminal stole their medicines, they contacted the authorities to report the robbery. The Atlanta police then informed the Hailey family that a Good Samaritan had found the backpack that had Hailey's medicine in a Union City gasoline station on Friday. The Good Samaritan contacted the police to report what he found. The police then thanked the Good Samaritan for finding the lost items so they could be returned to the Hailey family. The criminal is still on the loose. It is just a matter of time before he gets caught for breaking a window of an SUV to steal a backpack. My hope is that little Hailey can beat her cancer health challenge since she has many great years ahead.

Why we usually address a person who did something as good Samaritan?

The internet media likes to use the term Good Samaritan to anyone who does a nice act like recovering a stolen backpack.

I think the term was from the parable Jesus Christ told his disciples.

@Deepizzaguy But it would be appropriate to say an honest person, helpful or caring people or benevolent individual, among others.

I'm glad someone found it and turned it in and that nothing appears to been taken from the bag. Poor girl though

Yes, let us all hope and pray Hailey beats this terrible illness. How dare someone steal from another at any time, but this is really terrible.

Criminals these days are ruthless when they steal objects from their victims not knowing that their bad deeds will come back to haunt them one day.

That's great the backpack was found and the family got the medicine returned to them. I hope she can beat the cancer too and live a good life.

I agree with you since the recovery of the medicine is the first step to Hailey getting treatment to be cured of her illness.

I am specially moved by children with cancer as I lost one of my grandchildren to cancer. I´m glad that the backpack was found (the robber must have realized that it did not have value for him). And I hope the robber gets caught. This robber and all robbers. We don´t need violence in this world.

The police in Atlanta will catch the criminal. What the criminal did by stealing a backpack that had medicine form a child with cancer is uncalled for.
