Meal Planning & Update | 2020 Health Journey

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? I hope you are all doing great. I am sure you all know by now that I didn't do great this weekend. I never seem to do good on the weekends. I can do pretty good through the week and then the weekend I fall off the wagon. I could make excuses...but I just need to get better at self control, and saying no to carby foods. So Friday, Saturday and Sunday I did not stick to my diet plan. I started Friday off good, but the second half of the day wasn't low carb. I did pick up some low carb things while shopping on Saturday. I got some pork chops, liver, protein puffs (which will be a chip alternative), some "Keto" mug cake mixes, etc. So what things are on the menu plan for this upcoming week? 1. Eggs and sausage (really enjoying this meal) 2. Liver (probably with a side of eggs or just on it's own). 3. Hard boiled eggs (if I can make them without messing up) 4. Pork chops (with eggs, or nothing) 5. Jerky - have some thinly cut steak marinating that needs to be dehydrated 6. Chuck tender steak 7. PB & J sandwhich (using the "Keto" bread and sugar free jam) 8. Maybe something with chicken - but not sure what 9. Something with ground beef; not sure if chili, tacos, or a meatloaf There are just some ideas. Do you have any for a carnivore diet? Do you meal plan? If so, what are some items on your list?

You could add bacon with your liver and eggs. It sounds good. I don't meal plan, but probably should.

@MommyOfEli2013 I was surprised to see carbs in the liver. Though not much. There's fat in bacon.

@just4him I was too, since meat usually doesn't....but I guess organ meat is different. Yes there is, but it is about equal to the protein in most bacon anyways. I cooked my liver in butter which adds fat, and I breaded the liver in parmesan cheese which adds fat (and some more protein).

I could, although that would be even more protein! I need to add some fat since liver is protein and carbs. Thank you, I am glad you think so. And I think meal planning is always a good idea, if it is something you would like to do...but not always necessary.

Your list sounds good, sans the liver! My husband just made some chili. That's always a good choice. You could make some beef stew with carrots (no potatoes) and celery.

The liver is the best thing on the list! Just kidding, lol. Chili sounds good, hope you enjoyed. Never made a stew in my life, so no clue what is in it! Lol.I could add carrots for my son...but I hate carrots and celery lol.

I feel like I should be meal planning more. It would probably make things easier for me. However, I do struggle with planning in general, so it doesn't come easily. It's still something that I would like to try.

Thank you, I know they are similar to my last list....but I like a lot of the same things. And nothing wrong with not planning too far ahead.
