Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss (Theodore Seuss Geisel), an American author who, under the pen name Dr. Seuss, wrote and illustrated some of the world’s most iconic children’s books.
His sales eventually topped 600 million. Geisel’s first book, “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street,” came in 1937. “Green Eggs and Ham,” “Horton Hears a Who,” and “The Cat in the Hat” would soon follow.
Dr. Seuss passed away in 1991 at the age of 87. Do you have a favorite Dr. Seuss book?

I never read Dr. Seuss growing up in the 40s/50s. I probably will highlight Dr. Seuss today as well in my daily post.

I have to admit I didn't like any of them very much but I know they were well-loved by children.
