Excuses! Excuses! And Excuses!

Sometimes, our avoidance to certain foods would just lead us to exposure and get tempted. I know that most of you here have already given up the habit and you are now a renewed version of yourself. For someone like me who is just starting to take the path, being tempted sometimes is forgiveable. A friend handed me a custard cake this afternoon. I ate it. One piece, I suppose not too much. Going home, I dropped by at the pharmacy to buy meds. I notice the ice cream in the fridge. Tempting! I bought one cup of chocolate flavor ice cream. That's a pretty good addition of sugar. It's AC's birthday, my niece son and they have little preparations for dinner. I ate a match size of cake slice-- an all chocolate cake. Probably a lot of sugar for me. And that's not all. After that, I find myself drinking a small bottle of coke. It's still a lot of sugar. Huh!? I think I was in a suicidal mood. I was punishing myself. Oh don't worry I'm still fine.

That was way too much sugar, but I know you don’t do that every day.

@ZedSmart We all have days like that - sometimes. Perhaps you should be extra good tomorrow and the next few days.

@ZedSmart Perhaps you can be extra good and avoid the awful sugars for the next few days.

Yes, you are right. Most of the day I hold back the urge. Today though was too much.

Oh my goodness, I am strict with myself, one piece of cake is fine, never two the same day, not even ice cream if I already had a cake or a cookie.

Yes, Ms.Anna. I know how disciplined you are. I'm slowly killing myself with these.

This is so true. Things happen the most when we try our best to avoid them

Hahaha. You're not alone. I get tempted too.... But I've since learned how to make a proper deal. I can only eat that ice cream if I promise to exercise before and after the indulgence.

Yes, that's right. You need to burn the calorie.
