I took out eight books from the library recently and I have only one book left to finish. Two weeks haven't even passed. Hopefully, I will be able to finish it by the 9th as one of the books I finished is due then. It was a two-week loan. Once done I will have read 20 books so far this year. If I keep on at it I will reach my goal for 2020 of 55 books, maybe even surpass it.
I am not sure if I will take any books from the library when I return these as the book I ordered came in the mail. I think I want to read it before taking anything else out from the library. The book is called Chains of Gold by Cassandra Clare. It is the first book in The Last Hours series, which is a sequel to the Infernal Devices series. The book is over 500 pages long. Wonder how long it will take me to read it...
Cassandra Clare is one of the few authors whose books I buy. Ellen Hopkins is another one. Mostly, I take stuff out from the library because it ends up costing a lot of money if I keep buying books, especially hardcover ones.

I need months to finish a book. I only read personal growth books, I am not keen on literature.

In the past sometimes it took months to finish a book, especially if it was huge. Not anymore.

@lovebuglena For me, it is hard to find time for everything I want to do. But I will finish the book I started, and I will start another one, after that.

I have some books on hold at the library; and I will start reading again. You will reach and surpass your goal for sure.
