A Good Sign Spring is Very Close

Snapped this photo while out checking the mail earlier, in between rain showers. My first hyacinth this year. I had daffodils a few weeks ago. They are like sunshine.
Funny story about this hyacinth. I did not plant it. I was told by my neighbor that either a bird dropped a seed in my garden, or it was in the mulch I purchased.
Either way, I have one hyacinth and it blooms every year.
I plan to get more in different colors to plant with it. Nature is amazing.

I love Spring my tulips will be coming up soon. I like tulips and lilacs and lavender. I would love to plant some.

Pretty flower. I have one daffodil..lol. It comes up every year, but it didn't bloom. I have a tulip coming up in a pot now. I am going to use some Miracle Gro since it hasn't gotten tall yet.

@CarolDM I tried planting tulips around a tree here several years ago, but although a few came up they didn't bloom. I think I forgot to add potting soil or didn't fertilize them or something. I wouldn't go so far as to say I have a brown thumb, but I am not the world's greatest gardener.

@snowy22315 I have a few tulips and the fertilize I use is every 6 months. I have it on my calendar so I don't forget. It is a slow release fertilize I got from the local nursery.
