Before I get off of here for a while, I wanted to tell about something that made me laugh today. To understand my story better I will tell you this part first, around two weeks ago my neighbor across the street called and said if I see someone in her yard when she's not there to let her know. Also my computer desk is sitting in front of the window and the blinds are open, so I can see her front yarn if I look out the window.
Around 3:00 today, while I was on MyLot, I happened to glance out the window. I seen someone breaking a small limb out of her pine tree with a shovel, he then started beating it on the side of the tree. So I really started watching then!
As I watched, he tried to break another limb, but couldn't get it to break.
Things really started getting interesting after that. soon after this, I seen him go to the tree next to this one and start jumping, trying to reach the limb above him. After a few trys he finally made it and I seen him hanging there with his feet off the ground, he dropped down and tried again, only this time around he was trying to climb the tree I guess , now he was hanging by the limb and using his feet on the trunk to try to climb.
By now I was thinking that this person is going to end up getting hurt.
Not knowing who this was I desided to call my neighbor, I knew she would be at work, but I wanted to let her know, but her phone went to leave a message.
So I finally went and checked to mail and walked across the road to were he was at. I finally seen who it was, it was one of her grandsons that was visiting her. This is our interaction:
me-what are doing?
him-trying to climb a tree
me-why?
him-I got bored
both of us started laughing
me-you don't need to be tryiing to be climbing on them limbs, they might be weak because of all the hurricanes we've had the past few years. I seen you hanging from that limb.
him-oh, that's when I was testing the limb
me-I tried to call your grandma, but she didn't answer, you better be glad to, she would have jumped in her car and been standing here yelling at you.
him-he started laughing again
As I went to walk away I told him : now stop trying to climb that tree, N0 one around here wants to see you fall and get hurt. I turn around after walking a few steps and said "don't make me have to tell your grandma on you"
both of us laughed again and I went back to my house.

That is the problem when kid get bored they always think of the craziest things to do. My stepdaughter while growing up would love to climb trees. One day my late husband and I were in the garden of his parents' home and we hear hi guys look at me I can see everything. We could not see her and then we looked up and she was practically at the top of the apple tree and this was when she was ten.

Oh wow, what did ya'll do? I was raised up around Sanford, I know how big some of them trees can get, we used to climb some of them to. If our parents knew the kind of stuff we did, we wouldn't have never been allowed to go outside! lol I remember when I was around 13, there was a real big oak tree in the woods down the road from my friends house. Someone had climbed the tree a attached a rope and attached a feed sack feeled with something at the other end. There was a large limb on another tree that was around 7 foot off the ground. We would climb on the limb while someone on the ground was swinging the rope and we would jump off the limb onto that sack and swing. You know as well as I do, our parents would have been raising all kinds of fits if they knew wh were doing that. lol

@sweetashoney that was a very long time ago she is all grown up now and not climbing any more trees, we just let her do it because we could not be there all the time to stop her and she was a very careful child.

@RasmaSandra Yea my kids climbed them trees to when they were young and are all grown and have kids of their own now. I was telling my oldest son about this last night and got a good laugh.
He told me about when his daughter, who is 14 now climbed a tree a few years ago. This happened while my daughter was staying with them and he was at work. While her aunt wasn't paying attention, she snuck out of the house and climbed the big tall tree in the neighbers yard across the street. When her aunt got to messing her and wondering where she was, she went to the door and happen to look up, there sat his daughter. My son said she was about 40 feet up in the tree and was would not climb down because she was to scared. Another neighbor finally had to ciimb all the way up there to get her down. I bet she hasn't climbed anymore trees after that! lol

That I got bored reason is funny. He could have done different stuff other than climbing. You are a good lookout. You went out just to check who it was.

I think the real reason might have been to see who that crazy person was! ????
