Hi everyone!
I thought I’d share a photo of our 4 year old and 11 year old ice princess. She’s been figure skating since she was 3 years old and is now in what is called the Juvenile Level in the world of US Women’s Figure Skating.
On another note, her daddy called last night to let us know that due to the corona virus, his law firm is allowing him to work from home.
Our grandson’s private school closed, and the children will work from home on the computer. His school begins vacation next week anyway.
We were also told by our son that all airline tickets bought in March will be 100% refundable. That’s a good thing, since our grandson has been invited for ice hockey games and tryouts in Chicago, Lake Placid, Idaho, and Southern New Jersey. He’s a great little goalie.
This coronavirus is spreading like wildfire!
In addition, I spent the last two weeks deciding whether or not I should get a manicure and pedicure. My nails look horrendous, so I have an appointment for this afternoon. I will risk my life for pretty nails and a massage.

I agree with you Angie. I think people are overreacting a little. I'm not going to stop living my life because of the threat of illness

@DianneN Keep in mind, depending on what type of soap you have, that antibacterial soap will only kill bacteria...not viruses.

You girls and your nails! Now maybe kids will learn to curse the computer age! Stay home from school no longer means vacation days but computer school days lol.

@JohnRoberts He prefers the quiet of his office, but is disciplined enough to work through vacations and the constant crazies with the kids - if his wife is home.

@DianneN I would think he'd like to always work at home rather go to the office as long as he has the discipline to get his work done. I would have loved that. I heard the subway is riding really empty right now.

So far there are no known cases in Mississippi. It will unfortunately reach us if it hasn’t already. Your granddaughter is growing up so fast.

The schools here will be closed for two weeks so I will be watching my two little cousins for two days each week. The two of them together is to much for their grandmother who usually watches them. They are really good boys just very active.

Love the photos. She is becoming a beautiful lady. Happy that the refunds will be easy to get. I just broke a nail today.

It's good there are feasible alternatives for the children and your son. I've heard a lot of stories about working from home and online schoolwork.
I'm sure the risk will be worth it when you see those beautiful nails once again. My nails are always horrendous.

I hadn't read this discussion, sorry! Ice Princess looks so precious, at for years old! She has progressed into a very beautiful and talented, young athlete
Not too long from now, we will be watching her performance at the Olympics!

Oh my gosh she is so little there - so cute! At this point, we are all staying put as much as we can . . . gotta stop the spreading as much as we can. I am actually liking that we will be at home - now I can catch up on all the home projects I've been meaning to do. But I'm not liking what's happening to our world . . .

That is good the airline tickets are fully refundable. I think it is good that some places can still be open and customers are still wanting to give them business, we have to live and do things, right? Enjoy your manicure and massage.

Such a cute picture. I'm hoping that the virus doesn't cancel our September trip. We've waited 20 years for it.

@DianneN No, we're driving so we're winging it. Hotels will be easy to come by in September.
