Trump's Corona Virus Speech Bloopers

Besides videos of people fighting among themselves for toilet paper in groceries (I fail to see the need to hoard toilet paper because of the virus), the White House presidential address about Covid-19 was also an eye-opener about the uncertainty in the US concerning the gov't preparedness against the virus. The speech didn't inspire confidence nor calm the growing anxiety of the general public. It did not come as a surprise when people started to panic after Trump's Oval office address. There was a lot of misinformation which gov't officials had to walk back later. As usual, his speechwriters manage to insert the "others are to blame" slant into the speech. What was most disturbing was Trump's nonchalant attitude regarding the seriousness of the situation as seen off-camera when he thought the video crew wasn't filming.
President Trump misfires in his Oval Office attempt to address America’s coronavirus fears, and the outtakes from the speech steal the show. #DailyShow #Trev...

Every country now has to take it as a rising alarm and do all in their capacities to control and contain the spread. We can not downplay the virus. And definitely finding faults and blaming others is not need of hour. It's a crisis against humanity.

It is a global crisis that will test the leadership qualities of our country's officials. What is scary is when officials scoff about the seriousness of the health issue. comparing it to the common flu. Wishful thinking that it will "magically" disappear soon is irresponsible.

@arunima25 _I think it is a myth that hot weather will kill the virus. But I am in complete agreement that the only way to fight this disease is on a war footing.

@josie_ Yes we are hoping that it will go away with increase in temperature. But only time will say that. Meanwhile one can't downplay it or compare it with other disease. It has to be contained and controlled. And all that has to be done has to be done on war front.

Hi Josephina! This is serious. I read had China closed down events and restricted travel earlier they would have had 85% less cases! Doing this is not overreacting! Glad to see these actions are being taken.

Our Phil gov't officials are taking this health issue seriously. Already we have about 50 confirmed cases with 2 fatalities.

@Behindtheguitarbar they would have called it over reaching in China, but they would have only had a fraction of the cases! Don't be a fool!

There are still a lot of questions regarding the twin towers. Was it a "false flag" deception as conspiracy theorists would have us believe?

Another couple of weeks he wait and 70% of the population will be contaminated and they do not have public hospitals and doctors who work free there. That man is a buffoon.

@josie_ Thank you for your concern Josefina, we are fine and we stay home as much as we can. My brother, niece and all my cousins still live in Italy. My brother is a doctor in Milan, the most affected city, he retired last December, but he has been called back to help in the hospital. I do not hear from him for many days, I suspect he is very busy.

I hope you and your family are safe given the close proximity of Italy and Switzerland. Is your brother still residing in Italy?

Of course that video wasn't his speech, just some random bits and pieces put together for the humor. Enjoyed it but can't take it seriously or base an opinion on an opinion.
