Since JJ @mykj999 is tired of seeing coronavirus posts and wanted to see something related to Friday the 13th, here goes:
Friday the 13th is considered unlucky in the Western culture and can occur 1-3 times a year when a month begins on a Sunday. The fear of the number 13 is triskaidekaphobia; and the fear of Friday the 13th is paraskevidekatriaphobia.
The superstition may have started in the Middle Ages because there were 13 people at the Last Supper which was on a Thursday the 13th. Christ's death occurred on the next day, a Friday. There is no evidence of the 13th and a Friday together being unlucky until the 19th century. There are various opinions on why this took place. There are also varying opinions on why Friday the 13th is unlucky.

Thirteen is my lucky number, and has been my jersey number for every sport I have ever played. So yes, I think today is my lucky day!

13 is considered an unlucky number;but I don't believe in it.My younger brother's roll number in his class was 13; and he attained first division in the class.

When I was a kid living in the country, we went to town on a Friday the 13th. We found the whole downtown burning up. The firefighters were there and they let my brothers help hold the hoses. I couldn't because I am a girl. That 13th was not very lucky for that city. What a mess it made!
