Laity dispensed from this Sunday's Holy Mass.

Of the videos that came out since the 19th of January about the progression of the novel coronavirus which is now in a deadly pandemic status, the laity called to prayer unabating, two clips came from Italy: the first an aircraft carrying the Monstrance over the country which left me in awe, the second a priest carrying the Monstrance in the deserted streets of Palermo which reduced me to tears dropping down my cheeks. Why is this done? In fulfillment of the third commandment. This third Sunday of Lent, the bishops all over the world have issued directives for dispensation from physically attending the Holy Mass because of the contagious nature of the novel coronavirus. This allows the laity to receive graces on a Spiritual Communion in the home. How? By participating in the Holy Mass through our screens just like the Sunday obligation. Here's a Holy Mass with a homily explaining our current state. There's a trivia, too, that you might like to research on.

The only thing I like that happened is that people are forced to stay at home with their loved ones. Now they will know what loving means again. We had been lost from the restlessness and speed of life. We are now on slow motion.

Just hoping this ends soon so that we can attend mass on Easter Sunday.
