I found myself dusting the whole house yesterday. Afterwards, I vacuumed, mopped and then took care of the dishes. I stood back and surveyed what I had accomplished. What else was there for me to do? I could organize some closets, maybe do a load of laundry, but neither of those things were a pressing matter. Instead, I went to the kitchen and started cooking. Cocktail sausages, pasta salad, egg salad, and pimento cheese spread were all prepared. Then I opened the fridge and got out some sandwich meat, cheese and bread. Cutting the bread into four pieces, I removed the crust and then started layering cheese, ham, and turkey onto the bread. Finally, I was done and could relax. Too bad my mother in law took that moment to come home. --- Part of a dream I had. I don't have a mother in law anymore, but that doesn't stop my subconscious from conjuring her up. In this dream she was trying to press me and my ex husband together. Neither of us wanted to have anything to do with the other, and yet she kept pressing the matter until finally we agreed to leave together. Weird.
