Staying put

I have been avoiding the some social media platforms for quite some time now and it's not because of not wanting to interact with people. Mostly, it is to avoid seeing things that are too heartbreaking for me like animals being cooked alive. Amidst the suffering of everybody else in the world, there is something that I kind of like with the shelter in place declaration of the government and it is how everybody can stay put at home and not be everywhere all the time. Places are quieter and we can hear the birds chirping louder instead of the vehicles honking and the engine sounds. It feels like a moment of silence in the big crowd. I just wish we could already say that this is the calm after the storm but we have yet to see.

That is one reason I avoid social media. Too many dark scenes to look at,

@JeahNika I agree with you since happiness is what we all want.

Nothing much changed on our end. I still see people walking dogs and going past my windows.

A lot don't like to be confined by it but it won't hurt to keep a good distance too.

I don't think we've seen the last of this yet unfortunately. But I agree about the quietness. :)

I agree. It might take a while for the healing part.

Cooking animals alive is a separate type of mental violence, I have faced it a couple of times , for me it was a shock and pain.
