In fact most of the time I buy big potatoes. Since I always peel the potatoes, so bigger potatoes will be much more convenient. Several days ago when I went out to buy the food, I saw the cute small potatoes in the market. I feel they will taste well if I steam them. I must say that it spends me a longer time to peel them all today but I hope it will be worth

The button potatoes are not supposed to be peeled. I soak it in water for 1 hour before washing it to remove the dirt. Steaming or boiling will cook it. We eat that including the skin. It is best with steak in lieu of mashed potatoes.

ah, so that's the secret. we do like them, especially cooked with the skin on, but i always dread having to brush all the dirt off one by one and they'd slip from my hands since they're so small. so thanks for the tip.

@hereandthere in the beginning I also peeled those small potatoes until my father told me to soak it so the skin can be eaten.

It needs some patience to peel the skin. Except for it, there is no disadvantage

@youless if you cook them long enough though can do a small cut around the center and the skin comes off without having to skin it with a peelers

I buy small red potatoes. I just stick them in the microwave peel and all , then slice them and add butter

Omg... I'm always scared of them because they take away a lot of my time.

We buy the bigger ones generally. The smaller ones we get only during winter.
