Elaborating Further on my Weekend + Other things

I had a few people say "YOU WENT OUT?" when I made my discussion yesterday. Yes, yes I did. I spent an entire weekend with friends. Did we go anywhere? Yes. We went to the small town hardware store in her area. We also went by McDonald's on Friday. Otherwise, we stayed at her house.
We watched Jumanji (the newer one) and it was good. We watched Bad Christmas or whatever it's called. It was alright. We also watched Charlie's Angels, and it was alright.
We made sushi, had spanakopita, and had a little to drink. We had a good weekend.
Now I'm home (since yesterday) and this is what's on my mind.
Should I get a google home? I kind of really want one. It would be convenient to ask for the weather, play music, audio books and answer basic questions I have like "Hey Google! How do you spell hippopotamus?" (which I spelled on the first go, thank you very much! You'll just have to take my word for it.)
Should I just let this be a mostly binge watching show / reading day?
Do I want to sign back up for netflix?
How was your weekend?

@Courtlynn Yes, I would think that a lot of people would be here too. I may stick around, but I need to remember not to talk abou the virus and try to stay away from those who do. I got frustrated earlier because of a few people on here.

@ScribbledAdNauseum hey. Thats a good thing about social media. We dont have to respond to anything we dont want to, whether on our own posts or others.

@agwira18 Do you mean as a job, or for entertainment?
For entertainment I read. As a job, I am a freelancer.

I´m on a self imposed quarantine, trying to hide from younger people who are infected but don´t show many symptoms. They won´t die of the virus, but I will. My defenses are low ever since I was on chemo for cancer and I an old. I don´t much care about thinking for you as you are not thinking about the rest.

This is the exact attitude that I don't like. You don't think I haven't thought about the rest? I have a cousin who has an auto immune disease and we have to prepare for the fact that she may not survive this. I have elderly family that I worry for as well. I am aware of the risks of my actions, but I wasn't going to cancel a plan out of fear. I'm taking precautions where I can. I stay at home as much as I can (other than this weekend, it's been home or the grocery store for me) as well. I'm not visiting my cousin at all, staying away from the elderly as much as possible to..
I'm not going to be told that I am not thinking about the rest, or that I don't realize how serious this is.

@marguicha I was just reacting to your last comment as it insinuated that I was not thinking of other people and their risks.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I don´t judge. I just take care of myself. Some youngsters in my country are still partying. How many will die eventually? I don´t know. They are taking their risks.

Lucky you, we are home and as we are both over 65 for one week we MUST stay inside, this is what our Government decided yesterday seen that the number of contaminated people do not decrease. I appreciate that they want to protect us from the young people who go around and spread the virus.

If the government ever tells us "okay everyone stay indoors NO EXCEPTIONS, then I'll abide by it. Until then, I rarely go out anyway. I haven't seen my friends since early February, and we all needed this.
I'm taking precautions. I washed my hands thoroughly, and washed my clothes and sanitized before I sat down when I got home.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I would really like to go out to buy a few things, but we are forbidden to go out until March 29th.

I don't care to have someone like Alexa in my home. Just a personal preference. I'm sure you can find something productive to do or you can read or watch TV. My weekend was boring as usual. Stay safe and healthy.

I wasn't sure that I wanted a personal assistant like that in my house either, especially with all you hear about the privacy being invaded. I figure, however, that I never say my card number or social security number out loud so I should be okay.
Thank You. I'm trying to stay safe and healthy, and make sure my family stays that way as well. I hope you are too. This is a scary time for all of us, but I don't think we should allow fear to rule us.
