This morning hubby ran to WalMart for a few essential items that we were out of. Never have we made out shopping list with such care and consideration. With him went a small pocket size bottle of sanitizer, some antibacterial wipes in a ziplock bag, and a pair of plastic gloves. Necessary items when going out into the world there days. He managed to pick up most of what he went to get. we were thrilled. We were afraid we would not be able to obtain most of the items on our list. At least we now have enough to get through the next two weeks without having to be out and about again. This coronavirus scare has certainly changed the way we shop. Hope everyone is staying happy, healthy, and at home.

Plastic gloves are meaningless. The virus sticks to surfaces and remains longest on plastic. So you need gloves to take off the gloves.

I think if you take off the gloves as carefully as possible then use sanitiser, you should be right.

That's not good to hear. We ended up wiping everything we could with wipes. Hopefully it is enough.

Awesome and surprising. But then again, I didn't need toilet paper or sanitizer.

@HazySue probably not until people get the vaccines and I'm guessing we'll be doing what we are now until at least next spring or summer.

Unfortunately it seems to trying to become a permanent fixture. It has been here for a few months now and doesn't not look like we are getting any closer to getting it to leave.

@MarshaMusselman I think you are probably right. I do wonder though how long the vaccine will be keeping us safe. Or how long it will last.

Once, you made a bit of list then added to it in the store perhaps but it's a whole new ball game now.

@HazySue True and I take much more care to at least look for everything I want so I won't have to come back for as long as possible.

True, now it is more like you walk around looking at what's available then pick up what you can.

He was taking every precaution he could. He didn't want to pass anything on to me. I was more worried about him becoming infected.

What he couldn't get wasn't important. You can always substitute other items.

I am as happy as a clam. I am a homebody and it doesn't bother me at all. My husband is another matter.

That's great you got most of what was on your list. The Wal-Mart here has wipes and sanitizer as you walk in the door.

They usually do here too but...they were no where in site when he went shopping. It looks like they are running short too.

So am I. When me made the list we tried to put things on it that could be substituted with other items.

I'm glad you were able to find most of what you were looking for. I think things might be easing a tiny bit at the stores.

@LindaOHio I was very surprised that he was able to find most of what we needed. Some of the stores around here still have fairly bare shelves. @Susan2015 I am hoping that the people who are buying items in large quantities will calm down and stop hoarding.

@HazySue We've noticed that some items are in stock now that were previously out. I think the hoarders may be getting stocked up.
