Yellow warblers: #5 "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" Elton John (1973)

I am sure this tune was the first coming to the mind of a certain myLot member when hearing “yellow.” Not much to say here. “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” is among Elton John’s most famous and successful singles. The double album of the same title considered by many his finest effort. The John-Bernie Taupin composition is loosely inspired by “The Wizard of Oz and about the desire to get back home. The platinum single peaked at Billboard #2 while the #1 album went 8x platinum.
